Preview: Tom Harrison - Fabrice Tarel Live at The Vortex

In just a few days I'll be playing the legendary Vortex Jazz Club, on Friday February 3rd. I'll be featuring French pianist Fabrice Tarel in my quartet, alongside Tim Giles on Drums and Percy Pursglove on bass. I'm incredibly excited about this gig, it marks 10 years since I last saw Fabrice! Fabrice and I studied together at Leeds College of Music, we used to play together all the time. A lot's happened in the intervening decade, and I'm really looking forward to catching up with Fabrice both on stage and off.

We will be playing music from Fabrice's most recent album 'Whirl' which takes influence from the likes of Brad Mehldau and Bobo Stenson. I'll also be trying out some new compositions for the show.
